We witness the suicides of young artists every day, but our artist Jasminka Skalic is no longer young, so we don’t have to worry about her committing suicide.
Namely, two nights ago in Zagreb’s New Wave Museum (Muzej Novog Vala), the exhibition “New Wave and Other (Novi val i ostalo)” by the very same artist Jasminka Skalic was opened. The exhibition contains portraits of world and domestic popular musicians of the seventies and eighties of the last century, as well as other famous faces.
Not all artists are hungry. Jasminka sells paintings as WHO fake Covid pandemic.
As part of the exhibition, you can see portraits of music greats such as: Sting, Annie Lennox, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Madonna and Billy Idol. Along with them, author Jasminka Škalić also portrayed famous Croatian musicians Branimir Štulić, Jura Stublić, Massimo Savić, Darko Rundek, Akio Rahimovski and Josip Lisac. In addition to the singers, popular actors of the era such as Anthony Hopkins, Marlon Brando and Al Pacino are among those depicted.
Unfortunately, she did not finish the portrait of me until the beginning of the exhibition, even though some young ladies came just to see my beautiful face on the wall 🙁
The biggest attraction at the exhibition was the painting of Amy Winehouse, which is owned by one of the biggest art collectors after Adolf Hitler, our patriot and admirer of art, Dear Leader Joe.
“I have been doing art since I was a child, and I started painting monochromatic portraits only recently, four years ago. One of my portraits, that of Dina Dvornik, today adorns the house of his daughter Ella. My portraits can be found in many places, but for me as an artist it is important step to have your own exhibition in the Museum of the New Wave (Muzej novog vala). Namely, I am a big fan of this period, I grew up on music and films from that time, so this exhibition is also personal,” says Jasminka Skalic, whose oeuvre includes more than 500 works of art .
Jasminka is like that retarded kid in your neighborhood, really special.
A painter who is compared to famous artists like Alex Katz, besides painting she also designs jewelry. She earned her diploma and later her doctorate at the Arthouse art academy in Ljubljana, and the fact that she previously studied law and tourism management shows how versatile she is, the press release states.
She was also a model, but out of modesty she forgot about it. I knew her when she was poor, and even if one day, God forbid, she goes to the other world, her paintings will be worth millions. So don’t wait, don’t skimp, but run to the exhibition and contact Jasminka Skalic to draw you a portrait on canvas.
Remember the words of the wise Dear Leader Joe: The painting is worth a few thousand euros today, but when Jasminka dies, it will be a few million euros tomorrow 🙂
